I Eat I Drink I Work is pleased to introduce Karen Low and her blog Citrus and Candy - a charming archive of recipes, reviews and musings from a self-confessed food tragic.

Karen Low - Citrus and Candy I think my love for food stems from my Malaysian heritage, where we eat at least four meals a day at all hours of the day! To be honest, I can’t pinpoint how, why or when I started a food blog but it’s been one heck of a ride and I don’t want to get off it anytime soon! My focus is on simple, classic food and to show that cooking/baking isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Most of my restaurant reviews are Sydney based but hopefully that will expand globally (if finances permit!).

I will dance for anything rose-flavoured, sing for lychees and fresh watermelon, whinge for chocolate desserts, groan for pork crackling, kill for anything pastry, dine on oysters, salmon and a damn good fortified for my last meal, happily burn my lips on freshly made crème patissier and compromise my dignity for a really good paella. And yes, I’ll always pick a restaurant based on their dessert menu!
